Lots of UK and Canadian memorabilia to look at while you eat some amazing food with great service. If was good enough for the Queen, you know you'll love it as well!
Excellent dinner service. Great staff and service as well! Would highly recommend for any occasion, we had a great family Christmas dinner!
Have my normal lamb which is always outstanding. My companion had pork tenderloin, also very good Then we went to Sobeys Canadian lamb on sale $12.99 lb. Only two complaints for Gus to take note. Soft drinks are $4.50 per glass and no refills. Guess what. I drink water next time. Second issue. Asked for a refill at least twice or maybe 3 times and it took forever to come. But the food is so good whatever you choose. Been dining her for almost 40 years.
We were there for a celebration. The atmosphere is wonderful. The service with Juan was exceptional but the food was just ok. The veal was tender and cooked to perfection. The sauce was very salty. The potatoes were lack lustre and dry. The vegetables were disappointing. For a higher end restaurant the food could use an upgrade.
Had a lovely evening at The Olde School Restaurant. The atmosphere is truly something special — full of charm and character, with a live piano player adding a classy, nostalgic touch to the experience. The authenticity of the setting really stands out and makes for a memorable visit. Service was top-notch; the staff were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. As for the food, it was decent - about a 3 out of 5 in terms of taste and presentation. While it wasn’t bad, it didn’t quite match the high-end pricing, which felt a bit steep for what we got. Overall, we came for the ambiance and service and weren’t disappointed. Would return for a special occasion or to enjoy the unique setting again, but I’d love to see the food quality elevated to better match the pricing.
